In all, over 500 people engaged in the strategic planning process. Faculty, students, staff, alumni, trustees, community leaders, and friends of UNC Asheville had the opportunity to make their voices heard. In addition, planners sought input from the community, business, and social leaders of the city of Asheville.
And as the public liberal arts university within the North Carolina university system, the UNC Asheville plan includes the perspectives of the system and the state. This is a complex and important set of constituencies, all of whom brought their diverse viewpoints to bear on the planning effort.
A Strategic Planning Task Force was charged with reviewing and analyzing the diverse input, and working together to develop a plan that would best position
UNC Asheville for success.
Thank you to our Strategic Planning Task Force members and the many participants throughout the process!
